Notes:
Lyon Creek Natural Area is a natural area that surrounds the outfall of Lyon Creek into Lake Washington and is bordered by the Lake Forest Park Civic Club on one side and lakefront homes on the other. The natural area has walking paths and a dock that extends out 25m or so into the lake and gives you views of the Lyon Creek outfall, a small delta of sediment. If you visit to swim, it would be best to swim to the park as it's posted with 'No Swimming' signs, so water entry from the park itself would not be a good idea. The creek mouth and an area off the end of the dock is roped off to discourage boats from approaching shore. However, this would be a bit of a challenge because the water is very shallow. There is modest on-street parking near the trailhead should you want to visit via auto. |
