Notes:
A beautiful street end park with 2 picnic tables (appropriately socially distanced, as if ready for COVID-19) and stairs leading to the water. Still a stony bottom, though. Swimming away from the shore the water gradually deepened as we turned east to swim into the rising sun. On our way to Calkins Point Sand Beach we passed a couple of houses that maintained a natural waterfront, complete with reeds and wetland plants growing right out into the water. It was a pleasant surprise after seeing so many manicured yards on our previous swims. An altogether wonderful swim and highly recommended. |
