Chesterfield Park is a Bellevue (Washington) city park just on the northern edge of Beaux Arts Village. It was one of many ferry stops for crossing Lake Washington prior to the opening of the Interstate 90 floating bridge in 1940. The park is well-tended with watered grassy areas (green!) and well-tended shrubs. Like all these street end parks on Lake Washington it's sandwiched in between lakefront homes. There are stairs down to the beach level. Parking is on the neighborhood street at the top of the park and is very limited. In the water there is a roped-off swim area and a dock with a ladder for entrance/exit from the water. Use of the ladder is recommended as the stones forming the bottom are fist-sized crushed rocks and very pointy! Mercer Island is just across the East Channel, looking toward Fruitland Landing.
